Cerise is always looking for ways to brighten someone’s day, whether it be a visitor, staff member, or patient.
Cerise Tovar is a Patient Access Representative at CHI St. Joseph Health Bellville Hospital. Her daily activities include registering patients and collecting payments, but what she does on a daily basis does not stop there. Cerise makes connections with people, and if she notices that you seem to be having a hard time, she goes out of her way to try to help or make you smile. Her positivity is contagious, and she oftentimes acknowledges the good work of others. Even when she gets an unusual phone request and doesn’t know who should handle it, she politely asks the person to hold while she tracks down the most appropriate person instead of blindly transferring them without checking. She is the positive face you see and the courteous voice you hear when you call or come in for procedures. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her three children and enjoys taking them to a variety of activities so that they see all of the abundant opportunities that await them. She is an excellent role model for the values of CHI St. Joseph: Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence. Cerise’s philosophy of care is based on the Golden Rule. “I treat whoever I am registering like I would like to be treated or how I would want my loved ones to be treated.” Thank you for always giving the best for our patients!
