“Kevin is always striving to care for his patients as people. He’s constantly learning more and more about every aspect of emergency medicine, even if it doesn’t immediately pertain to him; he’s always looking to better himself for the care of his patients. He’s a great medic and definitely one I would trust with every member of my family!”
What is your philosophy of care, Kevin?
I make an effort to treat each patient with the sincerity and concern that I would expect my own family to receive. When the situation allows, I go out of my way to do as much diagnostic work as possible and really hone in on the suspected etiology of each patient’s condition.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Off-shift, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. I listen to a lot of music and watch movies when I can. Working on cars is a hobby that I’ve had since high school. Most of my free time is spent at home. “Family first” is not just an empty phrase for me. I have a two-year old boy and have been with my wife for ten years now. They are the cornerstone of my life, and they deserve some recognition too. I mean, after all, I wouldn’t be able to do this type of work for several years without a strong support base at home.
