Annette is always caring for the community that has always been her home.

Annette’s Roots

Annette had always been interested in science and planned to go to veterinarian school after graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Business. Eventually, she found nursing and became a member of Blinn College’s first graduating class. Annette’s roots with CHI St. Joseph Health began at birth. She was born in the old St. Joseph hospital where her mother was involved as a pink lady. As the place where her family went for healthcare as a child, CHI St. Joseph Health felt like home and was the perfect place for her career. Working at CHI St. Joseph Health for about 18 years now, she is grateful for her opportunities at the hospital.

Being a Good Advocate

Her philosophy of care revolves around doing the best you can to explain to patients what is happening, easing their concerns, and being a good advocate for the patient with the physician. Her daily activities include preparing outpatient cardiovascular patients for procedures and helping them with recovery. When needed, she also works in the main recovery unit caring for patients.

Annette’s Favorites

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending art classes, painting and pottery, gardening, working out, and staying busy. Annette loves working with people to make them feel comfortable and how her work hours at CHI St. Joseph Health fit her busy schedule as a mother. She likes getting to help the people she grew up with in her hometown.

We at CHI St. Joseph Health are glad to have Annette’s welcoming attitude and unwavering care. Thank you for always giving your best for our patients!
